What are your students, your staff, and YOU doing each month in your School Library/Media Center?
Click Here to nominate yourself or another Library Media Specialist from across Connecticut. Tell us about a powerful lesson, program, or collaboration that empowers student learning and showcases what is happening in school libraries/media centers across our state! This award spotlights the importance of both the school library community and librarian and the pivotal role each plays in transforming learning throughout students’ K-12 education.
The Southern New England Rosen Librarian of the Month will be awarded almost every 3 months because we will be rotating with our partners Massachusetts and Rhode Island. No awards will be given out in June, July or August. The recipient will be featured on the CASL website, social media, listservs, and more. This recognition will allow us to develop an idea bank of best practices being demonstrated across southern New England!
Rosen Publishing is the sponsor of the Southern New England Rosen School Librarian of the Month award. The School Librarian/Media Specialist selected each month will select a set of free Rosen books for their library, which will be donated by Rosen Publishing. Since being established in 1950, the Rosen Publishing Group offers engaging print and digital books on a wide range of topics that are aligned with curriculum. Rosen is also known for databases and interactive e-books.
The Southern New England partnership will develop an idea bank of best practices for members and you will receive new books and the spotlight! In addition, a letter of acknowledgment will be sent to each recipient's principal and the recipient will receive a signature badge to use in your email.
